DescriptionCarlos Magno has continued to impress me lately. Not only did he do an amazing job in Cap-Wolf and the Howling Commandoes, but also in Captain America: Cold War and the ongoing Captain America series. Captain America: Cold war was a fun series that wrapped up a bunch of different storylines and brought together Sam and Steve, with Misty Knight and Sharon Carter, against the Inner Circle, who is using the mutated creatures from Dimension Z... Add some Bucky and some Ian Rogers, and the story packed a punch. Just like Carlos Magno's art! His art is so detailed, and he packs so much in a page! This DPS manages to show both Captain Americas fighting different creatures, and I love the layout and how he decided to actually combine the scene into a DPS when he could have just done 2 individual splash pages. Plus on top of that, Carlos Magno was a great guy to deal with, so all in all, I am extremely happy to add this to my collection!!!Social/Sharing |

Funny that people call him a "new" artist when this is his 20th year as a professional, but yes, he's been doing great work for Marvel since the Invaders series a few years ago. His Planet of the Apes material was pretty good too.

New to me in comics, except for a few years ago.

Wow! I feel like I'm seeing double! Two Captain Americas on one amazing DPS! Love this splash page by Carlos Magno! It couldn't have been easy to draw two Captain Americas in essentially the same situation but in totally different poses, but he did it! And his generous use of blacks on the page rboth links the two scenes and also gives them more impact! Fabulous pick-up, congrats!
