Description

“He was a hero to some, a villain to others, and wherever he rode people spoke his name in whispers. He had no friends, this Jonah Hex, but he did have two companions: One was death itself… The other, the acrid smell of gunsmoke…”

When is a commission not a commission? When it's from Barry's monthly suggestion list on Facebook. Barry tries to draw a character from the list every day. I got lucky. He actually drew Jonah Hex for a friend as a house warming gift. Realizing that Jonah Hex was also on the suggestion list he offered to do another one for the list. I suggested it so I had the first opportunity to buy it. Turned out awesome, how could I pass it up!

A great watercolor by Barry Kitson. Love the color palette, style and medium which is perfect for Jonah Hex.

Not the easiest medium to do portraiture in. Turned out great!

Really cool with the orange water color to have it look like a sun faded historical old west sepia toned photo!

The watercolors work so great for JH, along with that color...got a throwback old west vibe, like it could be on a wanted poster! Great stuff by Kitson. Congrats!

Man, did this turn out beautifully! Yet another Kitson style I've never seen before. Nice going, Ceasar, a great addition to your Jonah Hex collection!
