Very nice Bachalo Spidey! Love that 2nd tier.
Sweet Spidey vs Hammerhead battle ASM page by Bachalo! Brutal fight and really nice details. Also cool to see lettering .on the art board for a late 2000s page. congrats George!
Superb interior from Bachalo! Great panel to panel action, with an outstanding second panel that allows a deeper look at the cover image.
Awesome, George!
Awesome to get the interior panel that inspires another issues' cover. Beautiful action art to go along with it.
Yeah, man, Bachalo killed these ASM issues and this is a great example. Action, detail, and that unique take and look of Hammerhead...wait, why do you have this now?! ;) Love that last panel, but overall some cinematic stuff as you move down. Glad we were able to work a deal, brother, and glad it's in a good home! Congrats!
Really cool redefining Hammerhead for a new generation. Major battle page by Bachalo getting the hard hitting impact to make Hammerhead as threatening as Rhino or Juggernaut.
A beautifully composed page and I absolutely LOVE that bone crunching power in the second panel!
Great page, that last pannel especially
Very nice!
Gritty, action-packed, Bacahlo goodness. I love the fluid movement and readability of this page. KG is a dream maker! Congrats George - this is a great fit for your collection.
Art in motion. A prefect sequential example by Bachalo.
Fabulous example of Chris Bachalo's and Jaime Mendoza's work on Amazing Spider-Man! I love Chris' style on Spidey, it's so scratchy and so tactile! And Jaime really brings that scratchiness out with his inks! Each of the panels on this page are beautifully composed. Love the way Spidey seems to be peeking out in panel one. And, of course, the second panel has the money shot of Spidery's fist smashing into Hammerhead's face. Panels three and four are both unusually composed panels as Spider dodges Hammerhead's fists. There's so much energy in these panels that you can almost feel the dodging and diving that Spidey is doing to avoid getting hit. It's really a wonderful page by two fabulous artists. Just a great pick-up, congrats!
Great action page! Chris Bachalo made some great art on ASM!
Mega-congrats, George! Phenomenal Bachalo page, with Jaime's inking adding a grit and sense of weighted, dirty menace to this brutal, "ugly" dog fight of a battle: a -perfect- depiction of a knock-down/drag-out with a thug like Hammerhead, and Spidey has the right idea to get out of the enclosed space with that brute as quickly as possible. Love the locked camera in panel 3; with Spidey whizzing past and spilling out of the panel to underscore the force with which he was belted. Ouch. I remember reading this story and being bowled over by the impact of the fight scenes, and how scary and visciously, painfully brutal they felt... It felt like a really different Spidey story at the time, where he was not so much swinging above it all as throwing down (very painfully) in the trenches, paying a serious physical price for standing up for the innocent. Very heroic! You have a primo example of all of that here, George, as well as a beautiful vault by Peter in that last panel. Brilliant! Congrats again, George!
Powerful page. Love the variety in each of the panels. Congrats!
Usually, I feel the colorist helps to translate Bachalo's genius for we mere mortals, but here, I think the inks tell the story even more clearly than the final published page. I keep trying to pick a favorite panel (it's the last one), but none of them make it an easy choice!
