Description

Humphrey was a super-strong gentle giant befriended by Joe Palooka. He was not only granted his own comic but appeared in some of the low-budget Joe Palooka movies of the 1940s and early 1950s. Little Max is one of those strange little dude orphans who popped up in various comics and newspaper strips in the first half of the 20th Century. The art is uncredited, might be Al Avison.
