Fight lunatics with lunatics! The overall story concerns a sleeper agent who is sleeping with Modesty to get his hands on a list of spies.
But this four-day sequence is rather more whimsical, as a bad guy pretends to be a conspiracy nut, so Modesty sends her own gang of fake crackpots to confound him. Neville Colvin got unusually cartoony with the caricatures of these ridiculous folk.
Notice that if a declarative sentence ends a word balloon, there's no period. Just like in modern texting!
Colvin used generous margins for each daily strip, so I cropped and combined all four to present here. The individual daily images can be seen separately in "Additional Images." They're dated with the day of the week and month, which I appreciate; most strips are not.
