Description4-2024...Very cool comic strip piece for quite a few reasons.Over 80 years old! The interesting coincidence that another cartoonist was named Frank Miller! This strip reminds me a bit of Tintin (with Barney Baxter being like the titular character and his friend, Gus, like the Captain Haddock equivalent) and Popeye (another King comic strip with Gus looking a bit like Poopdeck Pappy)! Great detail and drawing of the vehicles and characters! POW! SOCK! WHAM! The patriotic message at the end! One of the strips is my birthday (not the year though...I'm not that old)! Social/Sharing |

Great mix of the realism in pretty boy Barney and cartoony of Gopher Gus. The colorful wildcard character embodies our wished on what we all wish could do.
