Jaro FABRY - Cartoon illustration, ca. 1940s

This is a color illustration by Jaro Fabry, who enjoyed a wildly successful career as a cartoonist from the 1930s until his untimely death in 1952. He is best known for his work depicting the glitz and glamour of New York high society which was regularly featured in Esquire, Collier's, and Cosmopolitan. While the slightly risque subject matter of this particular cartoon suggests that it would have appeared in Esquire, I was not able to find any evidence of it, leaving open the possibility that it was never published. There is the slightest trace of writing at the bottom left that I suspect was the original caption, but it's too faded for me to decode it.
