Description
"His Mother's Son," writer unknown. Charlton. Cover date March 1970.

Story synopsis: A general's "mama's boy" son redeems himself in the mountains of the Korean War.

Story's original art is complete except for a panoramic battle scene cut from the penultimate page at some point before I picked up the pages.

War comics often used flashbacks to show the protagonist's life before the war and the character flaw that he overcomes on the front lines.

Argentine artist Gustavo Trigo did romance and war stories for Charlton with cover dates between 1967 and 1973. He was in Italy by 1979 to escape the military junta conditions in his home country. The rest of his career was in Italian comics.

I want to thank CAF member Miki Annamanthadoo for the following links about Trigo:

Spanish language description of Trigo's career and his Grand Comics Database credits.
