Description

In honor of the just announced Mcfarlane Toys Jonah Hex, I present the last of my Jonah Hex commissions (in hand). On Friday McFarlane Toys announced for pre-sale an incredibly detailed 7" scale figure 2-pack of Jonah Hex and his horse. It looks pretty cool, so cool I broke my no toy rule and ordered one. Sigh.

On to the art, Jonah Hex by Denys Cowan. Denys has had some experience with Jonah Hex, he did some work on the 1985 Hex series, he was also the cover artist on the last issue of the 1977 Jonah Hex series. It was great getting him to revisit the character. He does a great job of capturing Jonah, the lone bounty hunter looking for his next pay day. A lean, mean, ugly looking Jonah Hex.

My last Jonah Hex in hand. There are a few in the works and some that are long overdue.

A positively fabulous rendition of Jonah Hex! It was done a couple of calendar years ago though. Did you just get around to finally unboxing it, or just getting around to posting it?

Getting around to posting it. I was saving it for Cowan month (January) but it came and went and didn't get to it. So here it is!

Great pen ine illustration! It is very much in the vein of great foreign artists and their markets that have an fine appreciation of the Western genre.
