Description
Creig Flessel is best known for drawing the original, Golden Age Sandman in Adventure Comics. He also was the artist on all but one of the first seventeen covers of Detective Comics and worked for Major Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson in what is now DC before the Major was forced out. Before the Sandman, Flessel illustrated Street and Smith pulps such as the similarly dressed Shadow.
