May Frayn, Sara, and Dan Rooper desperately descend a ladder, hoping to escape in a bathyscape before cracked underwater windows break, flooding the building.

“I can’t do it, May! The ladder is too steep! My arms are breaking!”

“Dammit, Sara, don’t give up! Not much longer now!”

“My hands are slipping! I’m losing my grip!”

“I'm moving to the side now, Dan. You get past me and down to the door below. Now, if you can, try to open it, while I help Sara!”

“Y-yes, don't worry... I'll open the damn door for you, you'll see!”

“You did great, Dan!”

“Come on! You’re here now!”

“They're coming down too... we don't have much time left! Get a move on!”

“We didn't see which way they went, dammit! We don't know our way around the hotel!”

“True, but look at those footprints. They'll take us straight to them!”
