DescriptionMore than happy to grab a killer example from Rob's New Mutant's run. This full-on splash with Sabretooth, Caliban, and Rictor radiates with his signature style. With Liefeld's NM and Marvel work catching fire at auction, I want to thank CAFfer Troy P for remembering my interest in this piece when he decided to move it. Glad I could help out. Landing a vintage Liefeld splash or cover is not an easy thing to do and you did it! Congrats!!!

This site always makes me think, I think. Thought of the moment, Troy Truly would make a great superhero name. Who says comics rot your mind? I forget.

Such an epic run and this is a wonderful splash. I just said it on Marcus' piece, but I love seeing the Barta inks! A great bonus to some historic Liefeld pencils.

Booyah! This Liefeld page is all that and a bag of chips! 'Sup?! Sabretooth needs to take a chill pill, and if you don't believe me, talk to the hand. Whatever!
I just thought I'd pull out some primo '90s slang to commemorate the time period this hella great page comes from. It's da bomb!!

I was never into long distance marathon Sabretooth especially during his hippie phase...

It's nuts how Liefield highlights the bulgy aspects to make these characters bigger than life and in your face! He doesn't hold back and pushes the limits of the medium which may wind up being his artistic legacy.

A very memorable splash page from Liefeld's infamous run on this title. Congrats on acquiring it and kudos especially to Troy for reaching out!

Huge congrats, nice capture and great to add a RL to your collection, it's on my list at some point. Great action splash.

Memorable splash indeed, whether you like(d) RL or not.
His leaner approach to ST was fresh and he looked the more vicious and dangerous for it.
(believe it or not, I've JUST reread this issue ;).

LOVE this, man. Like many of us, I found Liefeld on NM and I won't forget most of those images, and this is right at the top. Dynamic stuff, to say the least. I always thought it was interesting how he made Creed more lithe, but also felt the "savagery" factor was uppen with paried with the face and the big hair! Congrats, man!

He might be excited to fight. Very. Look at the highlights on his meat and two veg. Surprised the Marvel censors did not spot that.

His artworks catching fire at auction? Just where the hell are they storing it? Or are they hiring pyromaniacs?
