After leaving the Marine Corps in 1946, Alex Raymond created Rip Kirby, a daily strip which proved to be extremely popular. The example offered here demonstrates Raymond's mastery of his art. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 18.5" x 5.5". Mild toning and light handling wear, with smudging in the margins. In Very Good condition.
