Description

Hilarious Sherman’s Lagoon from 1998, by Jim Toomey. These are hard to find because Toomey started doing strips digitally in 1999. I have met Toomey several times - he’s a great guy, and supports my workplace (NOAA) completely. In fact, he has included NOAA references several times in his strip, he has frequently spoken at NOAA events, and NOAA even has an award based on his strip (we call it the “Silver Sherman” and you get a silver pin in the shape of Sherman when you get the award). Toomey was kind enough to gift me this strip. Great stuff!

These days, people will pay for remoras as a weight loss system if they can't use ozempic.

Very funs strip that I once read regularly in the paper as one of my favorites. So nice you got that personal connection with Jim and this gift as a memento. The best kind of art!

As a Silver Sherman award winner, I think this strip is awesome! I met Jim a few weeks ago at a Duke University graduation ceremony, a super-nice guy!
