Description

This incredible and huge piece is a recent ComicLink win. BTiLC is one of my all-time favorite films of all time, and when this series came out back in 2014 I was an avid reader, as it continues the story from where the film left off, written and drawn by Eric Powell (of Goon). There were a lot of covers for the first issue, but this is the 1:25 variant cover by Chris Weston. The published cover was a virgin image of this piece, so no point in posting it too lol.

The art is on a huge 19x26 or so art board and is mixed media. I can't wait to get it framed and on the wall in my movie room!

Weston is let loose with imagination creating this cover! I think being a variant meant less editorial control and he was able to go wild with theme and colors while following the few requirements like the likeness.

I remember the movie well. I think I first saw it in 3D in the theatre and it might have been my first 3D movie with those cheap glasses. It holds a nostalgic spot with me along with a number of cultish movies from that ear like Buckaroo Bonzai, Krull, Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, Dragon Slayer, Quest for Fire, Highlander... so many more...good times! The cover looks great and is very respectful to source material.
