It is always exciting to see Frazetta's initial vision for his work. Too bad that the bottom image of what may be the evil wizard Saruman standing on a skull never became a final plate!

Tolkien comes to life from Frazetta's imagination interpreting Lord of the Rings in 1975! A famous image that's associated with LOTR for a generation of fans.
