11.25x16.75" artboard has pen and ink original art by Watchmen artist Dave Gibbons for cover to Action Comics Annual #3, published by DC Comics, Aug. 1991. "Executive Action" Armageddon 2001 tie-in story saw an alternate timeline where Superman married Lois Lane and was elected President of the United States. Cover art shows Superman being sworn in as Lois looks on. Gibbons has signed at lower left and again in black felt tip pen at bottom margin. Top has inked "Action Annual" title and well as issue number and month of publication. Art has acetate overlay attached at top w/white tape and features printed title logo and story title w/white correctional fluid to back of acetate and pasted publishing indicia at upper left. Back has DC copyright stamp as well as printed job stamp and pasted Comics Code Authority logo stat. Spots of adhesive at top/bottom center margins as once mounted. Aged strips of tape at center left/right and at bottom of acetate overlay w/thin sliver of tape staining to bottom margin of artboard. Scattered trace handling wear/aging but art remains clean and Exc. Iconic Superman cover art.
