Description

Another Heroes 2024 pickup. I saw Bill Morrison at the dreaded 4C booth (story for another time). Who doesn't love The Simpsons? I already have a nice Morrison Simpsons example (see Marvel Double-Shot Issue 2 Page 11), but there was no line so I walked up and started leafing his albums. Bill was behind the table sketching out some caricature commission. Ken was sitting beside the table. As I flipped pages Ken made sure to mention that the prices were in Canadian Dollars. I just ignored him.

Like I said, I really wasn't looking for another Morrison piece, but I landed on this page. Bill happened to look up from his sketch and immediately said "Oh, that's a trading card I did", and he whipped out his phone, scrolled through some some screen sfor a bit and showed me the published card.

Did I mention I like published card art? (see Trading Cards gallery). Bill pulled the page out of the binder, signed it and handed it to me. He went back to his phone for some reason and said "I think it was a linticular card". He's supposed to be "looking for the other image".

Not holding my breath, but it would be cool to have them both.

Mighty cool! The Radioactive Man mini series was my favorite of the Bongo books and the trading card is from 1993.

that's a pretty fun one and the fact that it happens to be a 90s trading card art makes it even better. nice!
