Description

David is one of my favorite artists because of his unique style and takes on characters. I don't know how to articulate it, but I know I love it. I've been a little obsessed in getting a Batman from him after seeing his Detective 1000 cover. I reached out to David several years ag, if he was taking commissions and he was just really busy with his current books. Then I stumbled on this on a Spanish original art site. I reached out as it was on sale via email. Then waited and waited. Till I got a response saying they just sold it earlier that day. I couldn't let it go and I never do this, but asked if the buyer would consider selling it to me for a little more money. To my surprise he agreed. I learned this was a cover for a Spanish Publication, but because they didn't hold the DC rights for the character they altered the Bat symbol for the printed piece.

Gets into the spirit of the DKR with such a back to basics style! Fully detailed, but they are unencumbered by their fashion choices to move in tandem with a jaunty ease.
