DescriptionI did not appreciate this page when I purchased it. As a teenager, I did not think much of Infantino's art. I was that way with several elderstatesmen artists who were active in the 1950s-1960s.But, this page was inexpensive. Probably because it did not feature any costumed characters and because Infantino was underappreciated not just by me. Today, I have a much more appreciative view of Infantino's artwork and I'm glad to have this in my collection. This was scheduled to appear in the anthology comic series Ghosts, issue 113 and this would have been page 5. However, the series was canceled with issue 112. I assume it was eventually published in another DC comic book, but if it was I do not know when or where. Page 3 from this same story was sold on the Heritage Auctions website in April 2016. The seller at that time attributed the inking to possibly Dick Giordano, but to my eye this does not look like Giordano's work. To my eyes, it looks very much like Mike Decarlo inking. I would agree with your assessment of the inks. Definitely more DeCarloesque than Giordano.
I, too, did not appreciate Infantino in my youth. I had to grow to appreciate his work.

With the Challenger distaster 4 years later, this page would have been scary foreshadowing if published.

That was one reason I bought the page. In another lifetime, I was in college majoring in Aerospace Engineering and working for NASA was a dream of mine. The dream ended but the love for NASA endured. So when I saw this page with the guy wearing a NASA shirt, I was all in on buying it.
Sad about Challenger. I was sitting in my dorm room watching the Challenger lift off before my morning classes. When it exploded, I sat in my room all day watching replays and the commentary. What a tragedy.
