Description

Here is the companion piece to The First Issue 5 Pg 18. Another unusual layout. I don't think technically they make a DPS, because they could each stand on their own, but I knew the pages had to stay together.

I need to start a section just for "unusual layouts". They are quickly becoming some of my favorite pieces. Sears was a master at them.

Since I don't have much else to say I'll drop a sonnet on you....

Underrated Unusual layouts
Symmetry and composition be damned
Artists conjuring from our fear and doubts
Countless drawn panels on pages are crammed

Context and flow do not always make sense
The images come together in time
Ink on the page is so light yet so dense
More so today than when books cost a dime

Does the art draw you in and make you stare
Does it keep your hands from flipping the page
You think his choies were pulled from thin air?
You might be surprised to find him a mage.

Unusual Layouts should get more love
Bart Sears layouts -- truly a cut above

A half page of Bart's dookie shaped panels! Great companion piece to your full page dookie! But what's going on with the brilliant descriptions? We went from never having typed a single letter into the description box, to now dropping beats and rhymes! I'm digging this new Hoarders Hide!
