DescriptionSo I needed a Mummy example in the worst way to complete the monster portion of my collection. I am happy to report that I found this piece on eBay one day just doing some browsing. I would like to point out that there is a comicbook character named "The Living Mummy", and I was hoping to land an example but the only one I found was very expensive. As you can imagine, this one was a lot less expensive which has me happy as well. I love the extra characters I get here besides the Mummy, and I hope you all enjoy the scan!!!Social/Sharing |

That's some smart thinking. Mummy and bondage cover. Way to get two birds stoned at once.

Congrats on getting your Mummy piece. I'm particularly glad because I was getting a little tired of hearing you shout out "I want my mummy!" Haha! I particularly like that woman floating above.

The details of the bandages and skin...and love the deep set eyes! Worthy choice to check that "mummy" box! Congrats!

Yikes! What a crazy-cool splash page by Anthony Spay and Andrew Mangum! The first thing my eye is drawn to is the incredibly well-rendered image of the Mummy. I don't know that I've ever seen a more detailed drawing of a Mummy ever. I love how much detail Spay put into this character. Seems like he carefully rendered every bandage, every wrapping on the poor guy. And this mummy looks to be in a lot of pain, judging my his miserable expression and the delapitated condition of his body (You can see his ribcage through a gap in the wrappings). Of course, there's a lot of other cool stuff in this splash, including the Zombie behind him and the strange floating lady above him. Like I said to begin with, it's a crazy-cool splash page--But I love it! Great pick-up, congrats!
