Woah, this is some neat stuff! I'm an ignorant American so don't know too much about Tintin, except the crazy auction results. Congrats!
Congrtas Alberto, I'm sure that every collector would love to have this artwork in their collection, I know I would, but it was you the one who got it :)
It was great to meet you at Comic Con, and I could tell you were excited to nab this piece. It really is cool, with all the main characters. Congrats!
Congrats on a Herge Tintin piece!
This is absolutely wonderful to have - Mazaltov and congrats!!!
Holy shit! First of all, congratulations of getting an original Hergé! But at approximately only 1.25" x 1.5", this must hold the record for smallest original art ever published as a cover, right?
Hahaha nooooooo!! I see what you tried to do there! The little image in the COA is not the piece of art! It's just a picture to show which piece the COA applies to! It shows the size: the paper is about 15x12, with the image being around 8 x 8!
I'd be happy to color this one in for you…wait, let me find my crayons. Lol. Great grab!
So beautiful!
Ok. This is pretty damn cool. Wow. Huge congrats!
Cartoony in the best possible way.
so happy for you man!!! Huge congrats. Not only is it Herge which is already rare enough, but has all the main characters (crazy!!) and was used for a cover, wow wow wow!!!
Albert is great to deal with in person at shows, a good and fair process, and friendly vibe at his booths always.
Tintin and Asterix were both my first "comics" (via graphic novel english reprints from my grandfather) as well. I've sort of written off the idea that I'll ever own a Herge original unless I sold the rest of my collection first, but who knows maybe one day.
Of course I'm jealous of this, but I'm more proud than jealous lol ;-) - happy to hear others who got into comics through Tintin
Astounding piece Alberto - deepest congrats. What a joy!
Oh wow, this is incredible!!! I grew up reading the Tintin comics too, so seeing this piece in your gallery put a huge smile on my face! A huge congrats to you, Alberto!
Love Tintin!! Great piece to add to your collection!
Crazy, CRAZY cool! Tintin and Asterix were my formative comic experiences before superheroes. So wild that you get to own an original by Hergé. Massive congrats, brother!
All the crazy deals happen at that booth for some reason. Very rarely seen and the only Hergé original at the show. This comes with the all important COA!
As spaniard and european, I grew up reading, enjoying and dreaming about being TINTIN! Superb artwork! I saw it thorough a pic Marcus Wai posted! I immediately got captured by it! It is delicious! Thanks for posting it! I will be an on going visitor of your splendid gallery!
Muchas gracias! Un placer conocer a otro español por aqui!!
Such a great piece! Not something you see every Day!
Awesome pick up buddy
A fun cover. Always fun reliving our youth! Congrats!
Great story.
Many congrats, Alberto! Considering the rarity as well as high prices of Herge's artwork, this is a wonderful once-in-a-lifetime acquisition. Albert rarely relents but, hey, when he's dealing with Alberto, how could he resist?
Terrific piece! Tintin is awesome!
an active part of my collection is coloring book art and I am very pleased with what I have, but this one is wonderfully next level. It has the simplicity of coloring books, but it still is so much Herge. This is a great piece and I am so happy that you were able to get it.
