Description
I picked this page up thinking that it was another page to the B story from the Annihilators series since the page was not labeled. I noticed that the size of the page was different from my other Annihilators pages, but I assumed that it most likely came from a different issue in the series. The art style is almost spot on between the two series' due to the fact that Timothy Green II penciled the both of them.

However, I have never been more excited to be wrong. It wasn't until I returned home and skimmed through the Annihilators pages that I realized this page was not from the series. I then remembered an elusive series, which I had been looking for after originally picking up my Annihilators pages. Annihilators: Earthfall. Victor may have mentioned the comic name in passing the day before he brought the artwork, but my mind must not have put two and two together when I went to purchase the page.

I had been hoping for a page from this series, but had never seen a single page available. Additionally, I had never even seen a single page in someone else's CAF gallery. The reason this series was so important to me, was the fact that it was the last series for the Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning (DnA) writing team of this era for both Rocket Raccoon and Groot. This page being the last issue of the series.

My main collection spans the Guardians of the Galaxy's early history as written by Keith Giffen and the DnA writing team. The start of the collection begins with Star-Lords first appearance in Earth-616 as Peter Quill. The collection includes the creation of the team with some of their most pivotal moments in comics. The collection now ends here with the DnA writing team's final issue for these characters, from this era. The subsequent series being Avengers Assemble, which was written by Brian Michael Bendis.

This page was even more unexpected since I had never seen any notation documenting that Victor Olazaba had inked this series. However, low and behold he happened to have pages from this series at San Diego Comic Con. This was a major win for my collection. After having purchased the Thanos pages recently, I was forced to rename my collection. However, I now find myself needing to change the title to conclude the collection with this series. The original intended span of Thanos to Annihilators: Earthfall is now complete.

This page has Rocket Raccoon and Groot in a perfect pose, in panel three. The two of them are going after Mojo and nothing can stop them.

Well, I just got into town San Diego
Took a look around, see which way to Domo
Where the issue works in their Rocket Groot comic show
Are you in tiki Marvel party in the city all night?
Or just another lost Mojo?
City of Night, City all Night
City of Night, City all Night
L.A. woman, L.A. woman
L.A. woman, Sunday afternoon
L.A. woman, Sunday afternoon
L.A. woman, Sunday afternoon
Dive through your artwork
Into your blues, into Green II, yeah
Into your blues, into Green II!

I see Earthfall is burning
Busts are filled with fire
If they say I never loved you
You know they got a spire
Dive in to your art page
Midnight alleys roam
Shop with stars, Olazaba
Never saw a Groot fan so alone
So alone, so alone, so alone
Rocket money murder-madness
Let's change the Groot from Drax to sadness

Mr. Mojo Risin', Mr. Mojo Risin'
Mr. Mojo Risin', Mr. Mojo Risin'
Got to keep on risin'
Mr. Mojo Risin', Mr. Mojo Risin'
Mojo Risin', gotta Mojo Risin'
Mr. Mojo Risin', gotta keep on risin'
Risin', risin'
Gone risin', risin'
I'm gone risin', risin'
I gotta risin', risin'
Well, risin', risin'
I gotta, wooo, yeah, risin'
Whoa, oh yeah

I think you might be the perfect candidate for a good side by side review. That Hyper Rush-40 looks intense. Something I sure wish I had as a kid to shoot my brother with lol.

This Green artwork is some wild and crazy stuff! I love that Mojo is involved, too. Oh, music critics have always contended that Mr. Roboto ended Styx's career, but I personally loved and still love it!

The critics would also approve it as a song to end the collection lol. Thanks Rubén!
