Lotsa characters featured and subsequently lotsa killer detail from Walker and Olazaba! Congrats, man!
Let me tell you
Girl
You my lil' Groot thang
So, I don't give a hoot what raccoon say
Girl, I know
You a lil' good claim
I'll be shooting that shot for good page
Girl, I know
Tell 'em I'm, tell 'em I'm Drax
Tell 'em you found a lil' something too fresh
I know
Tell 'em I'm, tell 'em Mantis
Tell 'em you found a lil' something too fresh
I know
Put Adam all in debrief
And the fit good, Shi'ar took Major Victory, okay
I see Brad Walker drawing your team, no beef
Bug I'm trying to get to know Groot at least
Don't take Moondragon to you wrong
I can keep it Quill like a Guardian fan
I'ma keep it real when Jack Flag long gone
If Martyr looking for a friend then you got the wrong song
Baby girl, what's good, that's Victor
Comic books tonight, that's fiction
I'm outside, Gamora
You draw me, go figure
To the back, to the front
You a ten baby girl, but I'm the one (hey)
To the back (to the back), to the front (to the front)
You a ten baby girl, but Guardians, one
Yeah, the large amount of characters is what I noticed first. I love how they're all lounging around, relaxed. A quiet page, but with so much seemingly going on.
Vance Astro!!!!!
dig it man! pages with a lot of characters in more dialogue heavy or quieter moments for me is some of my personal favorite types of pages within comic art.
Can't be an easy task, penciling a book with this many characters. Doesn't seem to bother Mr. Walker one bit.
Very cool page and I really enjoyed this Warlock costume design.
Olazaba's beautiful inks over Walker's amazing pencils plus aaaall those characters? The phrase 'embarrassment of riches' comes to mind. Really love this one. Stunning addition, Ian!
Wow! For a page of art featuring a lot of characters just standing around talking, this is a helluva cool page. Brad Walker does an amazing job of moving the POV around the room, finding the best angles to feature the characters. He's aided by the gorgeous inks of Victor Olazaba, which gives Brad's lines added weight where it's needed. I love the opening scene, which extends the length of the page and gives the layout some needed breating room. That's followed by the second panel with Adam Warlock briefing the team and serves as a nice contrast with the other, more crowded panels. Really Brad and Victor do a great job of keeping the scenes interesting despite the lack of action. It's a terrific page wiih lots of characters handsomely drawn and inked. Great pick-up!
