Description

Following footprints leading away from an empty car, Martin and Java find a damsel in distress:

“Devils of hell!”

“Rghhrr!”

“Hey, you! Leave her alone!”

“With me!” (in traditional German)

“Yes, Java. My German isn't the best, but I understood perfectly well.”

"Waagh!"

“That's good, old man. Try to distract them...”

These two pages are the most impressive in the book, with extensive hatching to give the illusion of halftones. (I think the blue smudge in panel four was bleeding ink, not intentional.) Artists often put in extra effort for the pivotal scene in a particular issue.

Damn nutzis!  This is drawn like the old Wally Wood EC works of horror of evil cults and their human sacrifice rituals!
