Description
Owning a page from this book...the first CtB I convinced my mom to let me acquire off the newsstand. I had back issues everywhere, but she wouldn't buy that magic (aka satanic) stuff and wanted me to focus on heroes. BUT LOOK...he's fighting the evil aka satanic stuff...spawns of hell be damned mom...he's on your side... He was my hero therefore, craving flagons and wenches starting at like age 8 (SSOC was soon discovered ;) ... This one is such an awesome example of THE collaboration on Conan of my youth, Buscema and Chan. That first panel has all the strength and power that these two poured into this title (and storyline). Love Zula, love the Belit mention, a bit of everything as I finally have an artist from the old collection back in the fold. JB, EC, beyond happy. Enjoy, I shall thoroughly.

The way Ernie Chan pours in the detail on the Mesopotamian like setting should remind one of biblical illustrations.  Although Moses never worked out as hard as Conan.
