DescriptionAs part of Torunn Grønbekk's story 'Blood of the Fathers,' Dr. Doom has captured Hela and Karnilla, the queens of Hel. It's the venerable 'girl in a tube' trope! Karnilla is in the glass beaker on the table; you can see her cloudy face. Doom has a history of seizing more power than he can hold for long, but for now Hela must play his game. So she and Doom discuss his latest plan to attain even more power. Juan Gedeon made full use of his paper supply; the backs of these two pages contain pages 11 and 15 of the same issue. His border-free panels are an unusual choice for a mainstream Marvel comic, recalling Will Eisner's work. Social/Sharing |

The characterization of Doom is so good here. He doesn't need to reveal his motivations to Hela, but he's such an egomaniac that he needs to be heard.
