Description

I’ve been looking for a nice piece by David Bowers for a while so I was very pleasantly surprised when this piece came up to auction recently. Titled “Slipping Away” and dated 2006. This work is featured in the book, “David Michael Bowers: The Evolution of an Artist” (page 152) by Robert J. Trombetta. Boners included a drawing and sonnet on the reverse that reads: "No matter what age we live in, place and technologies may change, but people will always remain the same. Thinking of ones existence and the choices we've made, we will reflect on these things more and more as time begins to slip away."

Very grandiose painting done as a reminder that the AOL CD only has a limited time for free dial up. It's almost a muse to inspire us to spend less time in the digital world and more time with nature.
