Yogi Bear and Boo Boo by William “Bill” Wray

      William "Bill" Wray consigned some of his art collection to Heritage Auctions. During a Wednesday auction, I saw this Yogi Bear and Boo Boo with a Ranger Smith, and a kitchen background painting. I watched the Hanna-Barbera Yogi Bear cartoons when I was a kid in the 1960’s. While I didn’t realize the intention behind this piece, I liked the image and placed a modest bid. In a Facebook collectors group, a member analyzed the results. I commented that I had won this lot. Bill followed up by declaring me “smarter than the average collector.”
