Nice, like Romeo and Juliet on the balcony. I'm not sure where Sam sees a Dyson, but I bought one once and that thing didn't suck up much compared to other vaccume cleaners I've had, but it cost a hell of a lot more!

You didn't watch Spaceballs that showed the true power of suck. But then you can still catch Joker 2 in theaters.

And there is the explicit hat tip to Mr. Niven. Is Sam the Kentucky coal miner really a sci fi reader? Maybe. Claremont certainly is.

Even if it was to illustrate the idea of a Dyson sphere, the splash page was really needed to contain Chris Claremont's dialog.
