Description
The final page of Detective Comics #671. A wonderful cliffhanger splash done by Graham Nolan and inked by Scott Hanna.

The comic is about the Joker attempting to make a movie about the death of Batman. The Joker has spent the entire book trying to get Bat’s attention so he can make his movie. Towards the end of the book Batman figures out that someone is attempting to get his attention and may even try and kill somebody to do it. Once he figures it out he goes rushing to where he believes a college student (he saved earlier in the book) will have an attempt on her life occur. When he arrives, the window to her dorm room breaks and Robin is thrown out.

I remember reading this issue. I can’t believe this was offered to me. So, I took the opportunity to add a wonderful example of Graham Nolan and Scott Hanna’s work to my collection.

The lettering on the drawn area of the page is done freehand while the bottom “Next Issue: Smash Cut” is a paste up.

This is a great nostalgic era with the of 90's Knightsquest storyline!  Nolan/Hanna made great stories and this is a wild one with the Joker and the Universal Monsters.  The wildcard within all of this is the new Batman and how 'd perform under stress.  This is way beyond a cliffhanger of a end page!
