A masterpiece by Texeira and may be one of his best! It's so much more refined than the paintings he normally did back then. A perfect mix of character, artist, time period, significance, and nostalgia.

Super cool Sabretooth cover painting by Mark Texiera! Love this massive painting of Sabretooth with his claws out, leaping towards us. Beautfiully painted image with the bright yellows and organges of Sabretooth's clothing popping against the dark grey background. I love the ferocious expression on Victor Creed's face--he looks ready to tear someone's throat out. Also, I love Mark Texiera's meticulous treatment of Creed's hair and the hair from his costume. Gorgeous work, IMHO. Great pick-up, congrats!

Is it too much to say this is one of the best images from the 90s? And crazy to think how it was published covered up but still raised above that to be so well loved and burnt in to our minds.
