There's this guy on CAF: Nikolaos K who seems to constantly be selling art. I've probably bought from him a dozen times now and I'm starting to think that he purposely puts up things that I'll want. So when I saw this come up for sale I hesitated for about thirty seconds and did a double take before firing off a message to him. Apparently someone else had the same idea but they were a few minutes too late!

This pin-up, splash, end page, whatever it is was published at the end of Excalibur #70 to tease that the next issue would be part of the Fatal Attractions story that was making it's way through all the X books at the time. You know the story; Magneto yanks Wolverine's adamantium skeleton out and then Professor X fries his brain. But there was more collateral damage then that. Mainly Kitty's and Peter's relationship as we get a slight glimpse about what's going to happen.

The text is pasted onto an overlay. I tried to get a scan of just the art, but I didn't want to damage the overlay, not that there's much art to see under there.

Oh man, I still remember crying when Wolverine was in the x-jet near death after his battle with magneto. That whole year was full of ups and downs! This is an awesome piece!
