Description
I am beyond humbled to own this piece and will forever be grateful to the seller. Owning a panel from Hard Boiled—the book I grew up marveling at, with its ultra-detailed, gory, badass, offensive, hilarious, sexy, and mind-blowing art—is nothing short of a dream come true. Created by two of the greatest comic masters, it’s a piece of history I’ll always treasure.

I was lucky enough to meet Geof back in the day at various Chicago cons, and he couldn’t have been a nicer, warmer person. He always took the time to listen, share stories about his pal Moebius, and explain his techniques. Watching him join episodes of Cartoonist Kayfabe in recent years felt like being back at his table in Chicago, soaking in the wisdom of “Uncle Geof.”

It was through Kayfabe that I first learned how he sold his Hard Boiled art—drawn at the massive scale he’s known for, then ripped into individual panels for sale. A special bonus: on the back of this piece, he wrote his address in France. One day, I’ll work up the courage to send him a thank-you card for all the inspiration and great memories he’s given me over the years. Thank you, Geof!

It's a great work by two of the most respected figures in the industry.  Darrow's artwork is so precise and never has need of crosshatching with so many minute details threading through flawlessly.

So true, his use of line weight in his work is amazing.
