Description
The story of Nada does not show the Lord of the Dreaming in the best light. Her city had been destroyed as an affair between a mortal and one of the Endless was forbidden. After she then took her own life, she rejected Dream's offer to make her his queen. In anger, he condemned her to Hell, only releasing her centuries later after he himself had been imprisoned.

This, obviously, was inspired by Michelangelo and shows her rejection of Dream.

I'd been on Carlos' commission list for a while. He finished this, though, in time for me to pick it during a recent visit to Buenos Aires.

Wonderfully twists the concept to fit into the Sandman mythos.  The tight illustrations for the horrific creatures are even beautiful in this context.  It illustrates the connection between the two as close, but will always be very far apart.
