DescriptionWorld War II Propaganda (1943). Original Propaganda Poster Painting by Jack Campbell (22" X 25.5" [Framed]) "Tokio Kid Say..."The Tokyo Kid was a well-known character during WWII, created by Disney animator Jack Campbell during his wartime stint with Douglas Aircraft. In his storied animation career, Campbell worked on classic films like Snow White and the Seven Dwafs, Pinocchio, Fantaisa, Dumbo, Song of the South, and Peter Pan. The gargoyle-like Tokyo Kid character is based on Emperor Hideki Tojo. This is the original painting, used to create propaganda posters used by the Douglas Aircraft Company factories after Pearl Harbor to help reduce waste. It was later distributed to 7,000 suppliers and other industries. Is Original title: Tokio Kid say - Good material waste in scrap help to saving face for Jap. Thank you.
