Batman 253 - iconic interior pages - November 1973 - Novick and Dick Giordano - The Batman and The Shadow.

November 1973 (same month as DC's Shadow #1)
1st. Crossover in history with The Batman and The Shadow. "Who Knows what Evil--?" Batman comes face-to-face with Lamont Cranston and then of course The Shadow.

Both pages came straight from the Irv Novick Family Collection!

These are the key last two pages in the book starting with page 19, with a great Shadow image and the beginning of the meeting of the of the two iconic characters.

The last page (p.20) has The Shadow & The Batman meeting for the first time in history and the Batman is saying what an inspiration The Shadow is to him, and that he's hoping that The Shadow will come out of retirement and help him in the battle against crime!

Both pages go well with the great Splash page that I have framed from this story as well.

I had them leave the back information open on the frame and took a picture of it.
