I got sick yesterday and it took me out for the day. Feeling much better now so back to posting.

A Jim Lee cover!

Let me start by saying this, the two parameters I usually have for a piece to be in my collection is it must feature a DC character and it must be a title I read or at least am familiar with (there are exceptions). This cover meets neither of those. So why this cover? Because it's an awesome image. Yes, I bought this cover on the image alone. I know nothing about the book, in fact I had a hard time finding an image of the cover, it's a variant, at the time. Written by Warren Ellis it's a re-imagining of the Wildstorm universe.

The Samurai standing in the rain. Lots of black ink, which I love. It's an awesome image and a great cover. Simple and beautiful. Love it!

I don't think reading the book is needed to grasp the power of this image of a man standing in defiance of nature itself. It even has the Frank Miller infuence on Jim Lee as it is more impactful with the rain and lighting from a lightning flash.

Lee cover ain't easy to make happen! Love the lighting, background cloud haze, and rain effect...effective stuff that all adds up to a striking image fo sho! Congrats!
