Perusing art from a Parisian Auction House a few weeks ago (doesnt everyone?), and I stumbled across this beauty. A Doctor Solar sketch by the original gold key artist Bob Fujitani. I have seen plenty of Fujitani Flash Gordon work for sale, but this was the 1st opportunity I had to buy any Solar related art. I had never dealt with this auction hosue before, and everything on the site was in French (go figure). The translator did OK but it was still difficult to muddle through the terms. The estimated 3rd party shipping costs had me a little nervous too. THe scarriest part is they wanted a wire transfer OR paypal sent via friends and familly from winning internet bidders (if you weren't paying and picking up in person).

Fortunately the Euro is down and the shipping cost ended up being about 1/4 of the site estimate. I was more than satisfied with the all-in price after the juice and shipping. The second piece of art I picked up made it a little bit easier to handle. I'll post that one up tomorrow.

PS. Been thinking about chaning my name to Dominique.

Worthy had a better tomahawk, but Wilkins was kiler on the double-pump and the windmill.
