Description
The preliminary drawing of the work appears on page 82 in The Great American Pin-Up by Charles G. Martignette and Louis K. Meisel (Taschen, 1996).I've attached it as an additional image. Best known as the artist behind the Coppertone Girl, Joyce Ballantyne (April 4, 1918) was a commercial and pinup artist throughout most of the twentieth century.

Gorgeous! Well executed, and inspires the imagination, sure doesn't look like a prelim to me.
