Fathom (Elementals) mini #02 p1 - Thompson and Wilson

Very early in the Elementals run, Willingham started to farm out some mini series. The first one spotlighted Fathom. Among her earliest published works, Jill Thompson was the penciler - inked by Keith Wilson.

Like most spotlight minis of the time, the three issues were a chance to flesh out Fathom a bit. This page recaps issue #1 and launces us into action coming out of the last panel. Jill and Keith did a great job building on the style Willingham used in the regular series while still very much making the series their own.

Bought this from collector extraordinaire, Michael McIsaac, in the very early days of 2025. My first purchase of the year, to be exact.
