Imprressively large in size and historical influence by George Herriman. Very strong cartooning as it not only has gags, but has a full page of design.

Ben, this is a fantastic Sunday page! The combination of drawing and the written word, which sometimes also works as a visual, is Herriman at his very best. And I love those sweeping vistas. Plus, you get Krazy Kat him/herself singing! Wonderfulness. Mazel tov!

George Herriman's Krazy Kat is perhaps the finest comic strip ever created and this is a terrific example. The drawing here is superb, with classic scratchy linework and stunning vistas. You've got all the main characters--Ignatz, Krazy and Offisa Pup. You've got a classic brick gag, although the actual throwing of the brick is implied, not shown. Still, the cunning plan Ignatz undertakes to hide his brick from Offisa Pup is not only funny, but effective. And the language that Herriman employs in the telling of the story is classic. It's a fabulous pick-up, congratulations!
