Great looking special effect! So cool looking. I also really like how Bachalo only used his Michael Golden influenced style on one character. Neat-o!
I always wondered how they got the effect for pages like this. The deep inks and patternwork Bachalo and Buckingham did for this series brought the Veritgo look to the Marvel mainstream. No one could resist the wraparound chromium cover and the hype this issue one had. Birth page alert for Emplate!

How is it that I know nothing about this character Emplate? His look (and mutant power -- I just looked it up) are pretty creepy, but I dig how Bachalo drew him. And a very cool page over all.
