Captain America: The First Avenger #12 AAFES 12th Edition Cover

So, this is a special piece and I’m so glad I won this on HA.com. I served in the Army for over 20 years and was both enlisted and a commissioned officer. I remember picking up a copy of this comic from the PX 14yrs ago and I didn’t know they did special military appreciation covers until I asked how much this comic was and was told it’s free for service members.

So when I saw this cover go up for sale I was not going to pass this up. I love Captain America and gained a greater appreciation for the character and history when I joined. I actually got my copy of Captain America Comics 1 about 15 yrs ago when I was a brand new LT in my basic officer course and couldn’t wait to get home to see it.

Jackson “Butch” Guice absolutely crushed this cover. The expression, action, and gritty detail are amazing!

Needless to say, this piece is going nowhere but on display with my Cap stuff.
