Each attendee got two blank sketch cards (in the brown folders). From 2-3:30 on Sunday most of the artists were available to do a free sketch on the cards (participating artists had a red dot in the program). My wife and I split up, and we were also able to score a few extra cards, so we ended up with 7 sketches in the 90 minutes.

Yeah, we did! We discussed strategy before the event and she went right to Greorge Pratt in the illustration room, since we'd chatted with him the day before and she loved his art. I was already hanging around near Manix at 2:00 and got in his line before it got long, then stepped over to Nir Levie, who had a minimal line. We'd bought a piece of his art the day before and also signed up for an at-home commission, so I wanted to see what he'd do with a sketch card (it's his version of a low-rent Batman!). We'd also bought a couple of Ian Bertram Precious Metal pieces earlier, and Felix offered to get me a sketch card from him, even though he wasn't signed up to sketch (my suggestion was "anything Moebius!)". With those in hand, we had time to stroll around looking for short lines and cool art, and were blown away with what Moritat was doing on these tiny cards, so we both jumped in his line. Then she still had time to get a Spidey from Eranga. I tried to get into Adam Hughes line but he probably had the longest line there, and it was capped early (which I'm thankful for, would have sucked to wait 45 minutes and then be turned away). I also got to Uko Smith's line too late, but we scored a great pre-show commission from him, so that was fine. There were sooo many cool artists to chose from, and they all really delivered.

Did you make it to OAX?

Only got a little while.  It was a bit cold for me.
