DescriptionSo this piece caused some controversy at the OAX art auction lol. This is the right half of a 2-cover image. When the first half came up, I was a bidder as I wanted the image we were shown of the 2-covers together. They stopped the bidding a ways into the first one to make it clear that they were 2 separate auction lots, so I bid a bit more then decided I probably couldn't get them both anyway. So someone else won the left half, but for less than I expected. So after losing that one, I thought about it, decided I wanted it, (and that I had a credit card too) and started bidding again on this one. I had many drinks at the free bar during the auction, so I was a little paddle happy anyway. But my drunken logic at the time was if I lost both covers, I'd never have a chance at owning them. But if I won one of the covers, the other buyer and I would at least have to talk and now I'd have a seat at the table. I agree that they should have been sold together AND I agree they should get put back together as he and I both have half of the overall image. But I was never able to find him or who he was at OAX, so my hope now if that he sees this post and wants to deal one way or the other. I believe his name was Steve T?Social/Sharing |
