DescriptionOooooo… I love this one! So happy to add it to my collection! And it’s got a fun story attached to it. A fellow collector I didn’t really know reached out to me about a different piece of art he was looking to move .. it was up my alley and I came close to picking it up. BUT we became fast friends and lots of emails back and forth with a MASSIVE time difference sharing art and stories… and he showed me this one. And it was a Nostalgic hit! I remember this one SO well. 1995 years since inferno.. but a what if story with all kinds of ties to that favorite of mine. And the cover was just magnificent! Sinister Sabertooth Malice (Goblin Queen) Sauron and the summer Boys! I vividly remembered it… and I wanted it. my new friend was a little hesitant but we worked it out (Thank you SO much JB) ..Now onto the piece.. Liam Sharp hit a home run here… each character is exquisitly rendered.. one better than the next. You can feel the attitude of this “Dark X-men “ team coming off the page. And he filled that page with art almost the whole board is covered (see additional images without the stats) . The layout is excellent also with Sinisters cape framing the team … alluding to his normal manipulating ways. All this with Sabertooth almost coming out of the cover! Can’t wait to get this one framed so I can look at it every day! Social/Sharing |

An even more fearsome faction of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants! Sharp leaves no room to spare for the logo as it's getting muscled out corner to corner!

I love the way this story developed. I didn't really know the guy...but then I teased him about buying something else, played pen pal for a few weeks via email and suddenly he offers me killer 90s X-Men covers, like magic!! lol. ;-p
Great cover!!!, doesn't need the overlay to enhance how great the art is as is but still looks cool both ways. congrats!

I wasn't the biggest Liam Sharp fan in the 90s but I have really grown to appreciate his work in recent years. This is a great example of his work. Congrats!

Great composition and pure illustration but I just really like dark, sinister (pun!), intimidating vibe the image exudes! Killer add, J, congrats!
