DescriptionI commissioned this piece from Manix a while back. I loved Tintin comics as a kid, and when Manix told me he had never actually done any Tintin pieces, I knew I had to pick a cover. I figured this cover would be a perfect one, with all the hieroglyphs, the different characters in the sarcophagi, plus it featured Tintin and Milou (or Snowy)... Manix was excited to do this one, and as a fun note, we decided to replace one of the characters with Captain America, so you can see both Cap and his shield all mummified! As usual, the scan doesn't capture the great Manix colors, but it's amazing in person!!Social/Sharing |

The Manixfication of these classics brings more glory to the original! The colors used here are so unusual and vibrant!

so damn good man!!! Manix doing Herge and Tintin proud. I'm mad at myself for not coming up with such a great idea myself haha but happy that this one came out so brilliantly for you. Congrats Alberto!

This is an amazingly executed homage. Properly respectful but also with trademark humor. Feels like Manix was meant to draw Tintin.

Oh my gosh, this is AWESOME!! Manix knocked it out of the park as usual, but it's especially cool to see him tackling a Tintin cover! And the subtle visual gag of Cap having his shield mummified too is absolutely golden. Great choice for a commission!

Gotta love the bandaged shield. The artist knows the collector well!

Hah! Tin Tin is the PERFECT subject matter for Manix's unique style, and with Captain America as one of the mummies, well, face it, tiger, you just hit the jackpot!

Such a wonderful commission idea and the inclusion of Cap really makes you smile. Not to mention that Manix knocked it out of the park as he always does! Congrats Alberto!
