Description

When one attends OAX, one is given two small cards upon which the artists will draw for you for free on Sunday afternoon. Some artists will sketch on what ever you hand them during that period others confine themselves to the cards.

Last year, I got S&S by Adam and Alison Hughes in a sketch book and I tried to get Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner to do draw S&S on the sketch card, but Jimmy backed out. :( After Amanda did her thing, I had Andy Fish add Spike.

It occurred to me later that I should have had someone there solo do Spike and saved Andy and Veronica for a couple's drawing.

Well this year, I did just that. Spike by Andy and Sugar by Veronica. Andy did a rough pencil layout for both and each finished their character separately. Nice job, I think, on that tiny surface. :)

cool! it's nice to be able to attempt something this time around that you wish you tried the first time, cute looking sketch from the free sketches session! Andy and Veronica are some of the nicest people around as well.

I think Veronica and Andy were the only two at the con who would be a natural fit to emulate the Mayer cartoon style.
